Golden Hour Modeling
Pooja was surprised by her family coming to visit all the way from Singapore, so she planned a classic family portrait session leading up to Golden Hour - our favorite time to shoot! We captured all combinations in their gorgeous backyard, but when the sun went further down, the family came to serve!
As we headed to the front of the house, we asked if anyone had sunglasses - and it turns out, everyone did! Each and every person in this family was eager to strut their stuff against the stunningly golden sun, and the photos we got as a result are pure magic!
Here are three things that made this part of the session perfect:
- We used a simple prop (sunglasses) - nothing too overly done or fussy, which made it relaxed and fun!
- We had already captured every combination of family members in the beginning of the session, so we were able to enjoy and have fun without worrying that we were missing any photos.
- Everyone let their guard down and trusted us - the photographer! We were able to maximize the gorgeous light and get lots of movement because everyone was such a great listener, trusting, and open to try different things!
We LOVE the way Pooja's family photos turned out, and we're so glad we were able to capture this fun and fleeting time of togetherness :)
